Changes to Corrie and Emmerdale’s schedules affect EastEnders

The BBC series will begin airing in a new regular time slot next month.Starting Monday, March 7, EastEnders will no longer be televised on Friday nights. Instead, it will air at 7.30pm Monday through Thursday, with EastEnders airing for the first time on Wednesdays.Doctors will be repeated Monday through Thursday at 7pm on BBC Two, alongside another BBC soap.On March 7, EastEnders on BBC One and Doctors on BBC Two will have new regular time slots, according to Kate Oates, head of BBC Studios’ continuing drama.

The new condensed schedule will allow viewers to catch up on their favorite episodes whenever and wherever they want on BBC iPlayer.Letherbridge’s new 7pm time slot will give a new audience to the drama, while EastEnders’ new 7.30pm time slot will begin with an exciting week as serial killer Gray Atkins is finally unmasked…

The new season will begin with a dramatic week in which the inhabitants of Walford will finally learn the truth about serial killer Gray Atkins. Not only that, but fans will get their first look at the soap’s beautiful new set.Both EastEnders and Doctors will remain available on BBC iPlayer, while BBC Three will continue to air an EastEnders omnibus on Saturdays and Sundays.The latest adjustments come after ITV announced major changes to the way it shows Coronation Street and Emmerdale starting next month.

On March 8th, Hollyoaks will screen a special episode dedicated to women.

From early March, Coronation Street will be broadcast in three-hour episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m. Emmerdale will air half-hour episodes on Mondays and Wednesdays, and an hour-long episode on Thursdays, starting at 7.30pm.

ITV’s Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo, explained the shift in a statement: “We recognise that, as with all dramas, audiences are increasingly watching them whenever and however they want, and we are trying to ensure that this continues.”They may now be seen live on TV in one sitting, as well as on ITV Hub, where they are often featured among the most watched programmes each month.
